It was a hot summer day in 2013. Courtney and her family were cooling off and relaxing at their family pool. Courtney’s sister and brother-in-law invited their neighbor and friend, Aaron, to join their family for that fun day in sun. When he arrived, he noticed Courtney right away. She was playing with her dog, Cooper. Because Aaron loves dogs as well, he went right over to introduce himself to Courtney and the two spent the whole afternoon talking to each other. From that very first day, Courtney knew Aaron (or “AK” as she fondly calls him) was the one for her. “He carried Cooper around in the pool and towel-dried Coop off. Cooper is my baby and to see someone care for him as much as I do was so sweet! I told my mom and sister ‘I’m going to marry him someday!'”
After a couple years of dating, Aaron proposed on his birthday. Courtney remembers it so fondly, “We were set to head out for dinner to celebrate his day with family and friends. As I was wrapping up getting ready, I told him to put the dogs in the kennel. When I came out of the bathroom, I saw Cooper and Cosmo still out. I walked into the kitchen and Aaron said ‘the boys have something to show you downstairs!’ As I carefully walked down the stairs I saw a glistening glow at the bottom and turned the corner to see tons of candles and roses set up on our bar. Aaron got down on one knee and told me that there’s nothing more he wanted for his birthday than to spend his life with me. Obviously I said, ‘yes!!'” It was so sweet and perfect and I’m so glad he involved Cooper and Cosmo; they are a huge part of our family.”
This past Saturday, surrounded by their friends and family during a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the water at Olde 41, these two vowed to lovingly spend the rest of their lives together. From the beautiful blush details, the stunning peony bouquets created by buds ‘n bloom, and the pops of bling throughout the reception – the day was absolutely gorgeous! Not only did it look beautiful but it felt beautiful too. Love hung in the air and never left all day.
Congratulations Courtney & Aaron! I hope the love you celebrate now is the love you cherish for a lifetime.
