I just came back from my first destination wedding in Mexico and I still cannot stop thinking about the warm tropical weather and the stunning deep blue waters. Soon, I will be sharing this gorgeous wedding on the blog but until then, I’m reminiscing about the rest of the trip ! We all stayed at the beautiful Now Sapphire Resort in Riviera Cancun where we laid on the beach, swam in the water, tried new food, and even snorkeled! The fun times and the wonderful kindness of the resort employees blew me away and I immediately fell in love with this vacation spot.
Because my phone did not work most of the time, I found myself leaving it in my hotel room for the majority of my stay. It was so freeing to actually leave behind what felt like the rest of the world and just be – hanging out with friends, enjoying the day, not worrying about Facebook or Instagram or emails. Not having my phone or camera on me most days meant I didn’t focus on capturing the moment, I focused on just being IN the moment. Because I’m a photographer, I become so manic and obsessed with capturing everything so I can remember it and look back on it years later. I have to remind myself to ENJOY the moment just as it is. To be fully present and engaged in every piece of it! I’m happy I only took a few photos of my vacation because that meant I spent most of my time making the most out of each and every moment.
Here’s to you, Mexico! Thank you for being so wonderful and welcoming! Until next time! Cheers!
Looks so relaxing, warm, and much needed after all this snow! I’m happy to hear you enjoyed yourself. I’m looking forward to seeing the Wedding photos
