It’s the first day of June and that means so many wonderful things! Rising Tide Society’s one year anniversary (can you believe it?!), the first day of Jane Johnson’s awesome 30-Day Quiet Time Challenge, and 20 days until the first of summer – this is always such a great month. But what makes today even more special is that it’s my dad’s birthday!
What can I say about my dad? He’s fun and makes me laugh and today is his big day! Today, we celebrate another year in his life. So, on this day, I want to dedicate this post to my dad and thank him for all he’s done for me throughout the years.
Dad, thank you for…
– waking me up in the night when you got home from work when I was little so we could play
– being silly and making me laugh
– taking me to dozens of concerts and not being too worried when I would push my way to the front of the stage
– always picking up the phone and not freaking out when I would call with car issues
– packing up our family van and driving me cross country to attend college
– always picking me up from the airport, even if that meant driving 5 hours in a snow storm just to get me home safely
– loving my cats as much as I do and watching over them when I’m out of town
– helping me with yard work when I just don’t have the energy to finish it
– taking me to every Packer game possible and braving torrential downpours, snow, and freezing temps through it all
– always loving and believing in me.
Happy birthday dad! I hope you have the best day ever and I cannot wait to eat cake with you later!
