When it came to tracking accounts receivable and accounts payable, I was living in the stone age. I would write everything down, by hand (why I didn’t use the computer I have no idea,) and it would take FOREVER. I saved all my receipts and invoices for the month then spend time writing everything down. How It Works
Mint.com is a free web-based financial program. It links to whatever credit cards and bank accounts you want (I use this for my business accounts but you can use it for personal financial needs too!) It stays up to date with your latest financial information, automatically refreshing every time you visit the site. You can quickly see all your transactions and income so you can budget and track accordingly. I still save all my receipts from my purchases (for auditing purposes) but at least I can take out the extra step of writing everything down!
