On a lovely warm day in June, as the waves of Lake Michigan hit the shoreline, Carley and Ryan joined together as husband and wife! These two are seriously so sweet, genuine, and full of love and I was beyond honored to spend their day with them in Baileys Harbor! Door County holds a special place in Carley and Ryan’s hearts. From vacationing to getting engaged to joining me for their Engagement Session, Door County has always served as the backdrop for their big, life-changing moments. So it was only fitting that they were married there at Gordon Lodge (one of my favorite venues!)
Their day was beyond perfect. In their words, they wanted their wedding to be all about “fun, sunshine, good food, and good people” and it completely was! Everywhere you looked you could see happy people, beautiful rose gold accents, and a stunning view of the water. One of the best parts of the day were meeting all the wonderful guests who attended! Carley is an attorney and Ryan is a police officer (they actually met on a case!!) so many of their guests worked in law enforcement or at the court house and they were all so much fun! Their smiles and laughter carried through the entire day! It really showed just how much this couple loves others and how much they are loved in return.
Congratulations Carley & Ryan! I’m so happy this assistant district attorney and this police officer fell madly in love!
Carley’s wedding shoes were very important to her. She wanted to find a pair that resembled her mother’s wedding shoes that Carley and her sister would use to play dress up when they were little! She found these GORGEOUS ballet pink (the color is a nod to Carley’s dance background) Badgley Mischka heels that worked perfectly!!
Those rings are just TOO pretty!!
Rose gold everything!! Yes!!
This gold nugget has been worn by all the women in Carley’s family on their wedding day for generations!
Carley is obsessed with this year’s Pantone colors so she just HAD to have the Serenity blue nail polish!
Aww, Carley and her girls look adorable in these matching floral robes!!
That stunning sparkling sash completed Carley’s entire look!!
“It’s time to get married, Ryan!!”
Wow, what a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony!
Here comes the beautiful bride!!
The judge, who presided over the case where Carley and Ryan met for the first time, married them!! Awww!
Married!!
The cutest family photo ever! Carley’s mother MADE those flower girl dresses for Carley and Ryan’s nieces!!
Ryan and Carley chose their wedding flowers because they held a very special meaning. They had roses to honor Ryan’s mom, who passed away when he was very little, and his sister, who passed away before he was born. They also had lilacs because they are Carley’s Grandma Miller’s favorite flower and peonies, which is Carley favorite flower!
The newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Windorff!!
Seriously, how gorgeous and adorable are these two?!
Carley wore her mother’s veil as her “something borrowed” and I think it looked incredible on her!
Carley, with the help of her mother and sister, thrifted and crafted to create so many of the beautiful decor pieces for the ceremony and reception!
I just LOVED the driftwood centerpieces!!
Instead of a cake, Carley and Ryan had traditional Door County pies for dessert!!
Before the wedding, Carley and Ryan found out and announced they were PREGNANT!! To surprise all their guests, they did a gender reveal during the reception by playing and dancing to a gender-specific song. Any guesses on boy or girl?!
It’s a girl!! They played “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder to announce it!
I LOVED everyone’s reactions to the good news!!
This was probably the best reaction!!
Thanks to all the amazing Wedding Vendors that helped make Carley & Ryan’s big day wonderful!
