I love new experiences. How will you ever know you like something unless you try it? It is the same with photography. I’m always looking for new projects or things to photograph. When my friend, Alicia, told me about the Silhouette Fashion Show put on by the Apparel Design and Development department at University of Wisconsin – Stout, I just knew I had to be there.
I arrived amidst the chaos of people applying make-up, doing hair, and slipping into their designs. To see these models transforming before my eyes was an amazing sight. I watched as they practiced their walks. Listened as the designers explained their vision to the models one last time. For many designers, this is their senior year. The chance to show off all the hard work they put into their collections for the past four years. It was unbelievable to see what they could create. I was absolutely inspired.
Everyone was kind enough to let me stick my camera in their face and document this beautiful process. It was an honor to be able to document this incredible event and be in the presence of so much talent.
Cheers to all that were involved. I know every single one of you will go on to do great things.
