Ana and Zane first met almost a decade ago while they were both attending high school. From there, their relationship bloomed into something more beautiful than either of them could imagine. After dating for a few years, the two are inseparable, spending as much time together as possible. They love to cook together and play board games (their favorite being Scattegories!) Even their careers fit together perfectly! Ana is an amazing portrait photographer specializing in Newborns, Families and Seniors. She runs Ana Claire Photography and I had the privilege of meeting her a few years back when she signed up for one of my Mentoring Sessions! Zane is a talented graphic designer and he recently has made the news for his collaboration with another artist and their incredible new Green Bay Packers mural they created right across from Lambeau Field! Seriously, how amazing are Ana and Zane?!
Zane proposed just a few months ago on one of their routine trips to Door County. Ana recalls that day vividly, “We drove up to get pizza at our favorite pizza place, Wild Tomato, then picked up a bottle of wine and drove over to my grandmother’s house who lives right on the water to have our own private little picnic as we watched the sun set, just the two of us. He proposed right there and I said yes!! I was so surprised and excited!”
After meeting in Door County in high school then getting engaged in Door County years later, we just knew we had to shoot their Engagement Session there too! We started our shoot at the beautiful Crossroads at Big Creek facility in Sturgeon Bay. I loved all the fields and flowers there and I could have spent all day just exploring! Our next stop was Ana’s parents house where we spent time out on their dock, taking in the beautiful view. We finished our shoot at Ana’s grandmother’s backyard, the spot where Zane proposed just a few months before. We watched the sun set over the bay as we completed our session, everyone so full of smiles!
Ana and Zane are seriously two of the nicest people I’ve ever met and I am overjoyed for them! I’m so happy they found each other and they deserve nothing less than copious amounts of joy and happiness for the rest of their lives together!
Oh my goodness, they are just melting my heart! Love these two!
The John and Helen Collins Learning Center at Crossroads is named after Ana’s grandparents and they played a huge part in creating this space. How cool is that?!
I just love the simplistic beauty of Ana’s engagement ring! Stunning!
Wow, I wish this was my backyard!! Love this view!
In the same spot where they first got engaged!! Awww!
