It’s no secret, Christmas is my favorite time of the year! All the baking, decorating, and my terrible singing to Christmas music throws me right into the holiday spirit. My favorite part of the season though is the gift giving! I get ridiculously excited about purchasing or making presents for everyone. Usually, I’m planning year round, scribbling on notebooks and sending texts to myself to keep on the lookout for the perfect gifts for my friends, family, and clients. I get so excited because it’s my chance to thank all the wonderful people that helped make my year so special. This includes thanking all my amazing clients!
This Christmas, all my wedding couples from 2014 received a special gift to help them survive the cold Wisconsin winter.
It’s my “Winter Sweets & Treats” gift box.
Inside it has some of my favorite things that help me embrace winter. The first being monogrammed mugs from Anthropologie. My monogrammed “S” mug is definitely my go-to when I want to fill up on some yummy hot chocolate or coffee in the early mornings.
And what better to put in those cute mugs then my favorite hot cocoa from Colectivo Coffee? All-natural and all delicious!
When my couples are all cozy and sipping away, they can continue to indulge with some delicious macarons from my favorite bakery, Cake and Cookie. The mint chocolate and white chocolate flavors go perfectly with hot cocoa.
To complete their gift box, a special Christmas card that I created and designed to wish them a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
To add an extra special touch, I packed up each one myself and either mailed them or hand delivered them. I felt like Santa (if Santa had blonde hair and drove a Scion xD.) My car was packed full with these sweet gift boxes and I crept around to each house carefully placing each gift on all the front porches.
I was delighted that just MINUTES after giving these gifts, I received the sweetest “thank you” texts and messages. It’s the whole reason I do what I do – to brighten someone’s day, to bring a smile to their face, to make people happy.
This week I will be continuing the holiday cheer and gift giving by dropping off a little present to some of the wonderful vendors that I had the pleasure of working with this year – delicious champagne so they can “Cheers to this past year and the New Year!”
Shaunae, you make such a positive impact on the people you interact with. I believe that the goodness that you do for others will come full circle and make you a very happy person yourself. Now, I have some hot cocoa to sip while I get back to writing thank you notes! Happy New Year! Xoxo!
