“As Claude Monet, Jenna’s favorite Impressionist, says, ‘people discuss my art and pretend to understand as if it were necessary to understand, when it’s simply necessary to love.’ He might have been referring to art, but in essence isn’t that what relationships are also about? Maybe expecting your partner to always understand you is expecting too much. Maybe love is more about showing up and staying than it is about making sense of all the details. Maybe we can decide love doesn’t have to be so complicated.”
When Jenna’s maid of honor, Emma, shared this during her speech, I couldn’t help but fall in love with her words. Love IS about showing up. Every. Single. Day. Love is a daily choice to stick by each other’s side and choosing to do it all over again the next day. Love is wanting to share your life with someone else, no matter what happens. It’s this kind of love that Jenna and Jared share. It’s the kind of love I feel honored to document.
Jenna and Jared were married in an intimate setting on a Friday afternoon at Thornberry Creek. Only their closest family and friends joined in their celebration. I love small weddings and sweet elopements. I think there is something so personal and wonderful about them. Small weddings allow the bride and groom to really do what they want and to really celebrate with their loved ones. Sometimes bigger weddings mean more responsibility and more work and for the laid back bride, a small wedding might be exactly what they are looking for.
I think Jenna and Jared had the most beautiful wedding. They created most of the details themselves, including putting together all the bouquets and arrangements, and they did a fabulous job! By keeping their wedding small, they could actually enjoy their day and celebrate every moment!
Congratulations Jenna & Jared! Here’s to showing up, staying, and loving each other for the rest of your days.
First look out on the patio! I love first looks!
Jenna and Jared exchanged personal vows to each other right after their first look.
I’m beyond obsessed with Jenna’s dress! I love all the detailing!
Seriously, how cute are they together?!
Throughout the day, guests would ask Jared if he was nervous to get married. Every time he responded, “No. It’s easy when you know you made the best decision of your life.” Best answer ever!
Married! Woohoo!
Only two friends stood up in Jenna and Jared’s wedding. I absolutely loved this! Having your best friends by your side is always a good idea.
Thornberry Creek looked as beautiful as always!
The pretty greenery and flowers bring so much joy to the reception space!
The Newlyweds! Mr. & Mrs. Kiernicki!
[…] was so fun to photograph the Kiernicki Family again! I first photographed Jenna and Jared at their wedding back in 2017 at Thornberry Creek! It brings me so much joy to watch my past couples grow and expand their families. For this photo […]
