This past weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer my time to help out some awesome girls! Partnering with the Brown County Historical Society on Saturday, the Junior Girl Scouts of Green Bay joined me and a few other photographers at the Brown County Library to earn their Digital Photography badge! Seriously, how cool is that?! Having been a Girl Scout myself for most of my childhood, this opportunity was very special to me. My years as a Girl Scout taught me so much! I feel honored to return the favor and teach the Girl Scouts of today. I loved spending time with the girls and helping them achieve their goals.
Cameras in hand, we walked around Downtown Green Bay and photographed the beauty that is this city. I shared what to look for when taking a photo and offered ways to get different perspectives and angles. It was so fun to see the girls’ faces light up when they made a photo that they loved! After we completed our tour, we headed back to the library for a little editing and printing lesson. With the photos they made, the picked their favorite and created a fun greeting card!
Thanks ladies for being SO awesome! Keep those cameras in hand and continue to find beauty in the everyday!
The left photo is my Girl Scout pin I still have. The right photo is the Digital Photography badge they earned!
