The guests rose to their feet in a bright white church on a sunny Saturday afternoon in July. Anticipation filled the air as Marta clutched her father’s arm and began to walk down the aisle. Skylar could hear the music playing, knowing he would be with his beautiful bride soon but he just couldn’t see her quite yet. The closer she got the more he wanted to look into her eyes. Finally, the guests parted and there was his wife-to-be smiling the biggest smile back at him. Emotion overtook them both and Skylar couldn’t hold back any longer. Tears flowed down his face as Marta joined him at the alter. He reached for her hand and they began the greatest adventure of their lifetime together.

It’s amazing to think that I first met Skylar while we were both working at a movie theater years ago!! As high schoolers, busily serving popcorn and ripping tickets, I’m sure neither of us thought in a million years that one day I would photograph his wedding!! It’s funny how life works like that sometimes. You just never know where it will take you.

I adore Marta and Skylar with all my heart! Their sweetness and love for one another is so pure and true that it just makes you smile when you’re in their presence. From their adorable Engagement Session in Sheboygan to one of the biggest days of their lives, I’m so happy I could document each and every precious moment for them! Their wedding was full of surprises and special moments. Duets, choreographed dances, acting out movie roles, sweet embraces, and lots of laughter made their day so unbelievably fun and completely unforgettable!!

Congratulations Marta & Skylar! Here’s to many great adventures and so much love and laughter along the way!

Skylar’s birth name is actually Kyle. In grade school he decided to go by Skylar. Now he answers to either one. How fun is that?! I met him as Skylar years ago so he’ll always be Skylar to me!

This typewriter served as their guestbook! It also honored Marta’s grandfather who owned a typewriting business.

As soon as the guests sat down for dinner, Marta and Skylar serenaded them with a duet from Moulin Rouge!!

Each member from Marta and Skylar bridal party gave a little speech!

This had to be my absolute favorite part of the night! Both Marta and Skylar are very musical and as a gift to his bride, Skylar performed a surprise dance for her with all of his groomsmen!! It was incredible!!
