When I started this journey into photography seven years ago, I felt like I was going through it alone. I attended college and there I found a great support system of photographers all going through the same journey. But after graduation, it was back to the real world and back to figuring out my little photography business by myself. It was scary and it was hard work but it was worth it. Now that I am shooting full time, it’s my goal (and you all know how I feel about goals) to make sure no other creative has to go through it alone! It’s my goal to have a support system of creatives, artists, and small business owners who can laugh together and lean on each other when our work feels overwhelming. I have so much admiration for small business owners (it’s why I started my Vendor Love series) and I’m always looking for ways to help these creatives and owners feel supported. That’s why I’m so excited to announce something wonderful and awesome that’s coming to Northeast Wisconsin.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like to introduce you to the Rising Tide Society.
This beautiful movement created by the lovely Natalie Franke and Krista Jones is about creating a community of entrepreneurs and artists to support and help one another. It’s about not competing with one another but finding ways to reach out and help each other. We are all in this together!
The Rising Tide Society is worldwide (incredible!) and each city is led by a creative in that town. I’m so incredibly excited to announce that I will be leading the Green Bay, Wisconsin community!! I feel beyond honored to be leading this great city and I can’t wait to get to know all the wonderful entrepreneurs of this town.
From this idea of community over competition, #TuesdaysTogether meetups were born. A #TuesdayTogether meetup is held the second Tuesday of every month where we gather for coffee and conversation. As Natalie and Krista put it, “it’s a safe space for idea sharing and goal building. Separated by distance, but beautifully united by a hashtag and a shared desire for community. Because isn’t that what we all deserve? A safe place to belong.” These meetups are a beautiful way to get to know one another! Green Bay’s first meetup will be Tuesday, June 9th at Hello Lemon Studio from 12pm – 2pm. We’ll have coffee and snacks and lots of fun things to chat about. All you need to bring is yourself and your phone for Instagraming! If you can’t make it to this one, no worries, we meet every month!
Who are these meetups for?
All small business owners and creatives (both men and women!), artists, bloggers, boutique owners, calligraphers, designers, event planners, florists, photographers, stylists, wedding pros, writers, & more!
What to Expect?
– Open discussions about topics relevant to small business owners (social media, websites, client care & more)
– The opportunity to meet and connect with others in your area who understand the hustle involved in running a small business
When and Where are the Meetups?
The meetups will always be the second Tuesday of each month. Times and location will vary but all information will be posted in our Facebook Group. It’s my goal to host meetups at local coffeehouses and businesses to celebrate all the amazing small business owners in our area. Our first #TuesdayTogether meetup will be held at Hello Lemon Studio on 609 George St in De Pere from 12pm – 2pm.

The Facebook Group is also where I will be posting all the information about our meetups and community.
I’m so excited to start this journey with all of you! I know it’s going to be incredible, enlightening and uplifting. Let’s all take the next step, join together and make waves!
