As much as I love pretty flowers, sparkly rings, and beautiful brides, it’s not why I became a photographer. Yes, I fell absolutely in love with wedding photography but I started this journey because I wanted to tell stories and help people. My original career goal was to be journalist but my love for the creative side took over. So now I look for ways I can use my photography to tell those stories.
One of my favorite ways to do that is by volunteering my time at the Boys and Girls Club in Green Bay! I’ve been doing it for the last couple of years and it’s awesome! I photograph all the kids having fun and working on awesome projects at the Club. They love it and they always want to see the photos of themselves. These kids are seriously amazing and I just adore spending time with them. They are so full of life and it’s incredible to see the world through their eyes. It reminds me to not only use my talents as a photographer to help my business, but I need to use them to help make a difference!
Use your beautiful gifts to spread joy and help others! Connect with people in your community and find out how you can start making a difference with your talents. I promise you, you’ll be so much happier. Thank you to the Boys and Girls Club for opening your doors to me and letting me hang out with these awesome little humans!!
If you are interested in finding out ways you can help a local club in your city, there are so many ways to do so! From donating to fun collection drives to fundraisers, the possibilities are endless! Especially right now with school starting soon, many children need school supplies!
