Rachel and Steven met a little over three years ago. Soon their “hanging out” turned into dating and they became inseparable. On December 8, 2018, Steven proposed and Rachel loves to share the story! “Steven and I had made a plan for a date night. I love this time of year and this year we decided to give ice-skating a try. Before we took to the ice, we had dinner at Beefeaters. Beefeaters, styled like a London Pub, was the restaurant that we enjoyed our first date at. After dinner we headed off to the ice rink at Titletown. Steven and I found a bench next to the heater while we waited out the Zamboni. I turned to him and said ‘Is something going to happen tonight?’ Steven responded ‘Maybe,’ his famous line. He then continued ‘Would you like my speech now or later?’ I’m pretty sure tears started forming in my eyes. ‘Later’ I said during a giggle. ‘Okay you’re going to have to wait until we are off the ice. I don’t want you to skate with your ring on.’ I chuckled at how well he knew me.
We skated around for a while and then Steven took me to the sidewalk next to the Christmas trees and looked at me, telling me all the things a girl wants to hear from the person she loves most in this world. With that he said we should take a picture. While I was looking around for the perfect place he had found a passer by to take our photo. When I turned around, there he was one knee and all. I instantly started crying and telling myself this was really happening. I shouted ‘Of course! Yes!’ and literally threw my gloves at him! To be honest, with all the excitement I didn’t even hear what he said when he asked me.”
I’ve been looking forward to their wedding since the moment they booked with me! Rachel is a talented performer in so many ways! From singing and performing to directing musicals, there is nothing this girl can’t do once she sets her mind to it. I knew her wedding would be no different. She even had a theme for the day planned, “Audrey Hepburn Goes to the Farm.”
The ceremony and reception took place at her family’s farm and her father officiated the wedding. Being in the theater industry, friends performed songs during both the ceremony and first dance. Every single detail was beyond perfect. Guests could enjoy the day with cozy lounging areas, custom face masks, socially distant seating arrangements, delicious gelato, and surprises along the way!
Congratulations Rachel & Steven! It was such an honor to be a part of your special day!
