Rachel and Andrew’s beautiful Hotel Northland wedding is here! This happy couple first met in high school. Andy is a good friend to Rachel’s older brother. They reconnected many years later during Rachel’s brother’s wedding (Andy was a groomsmen and Rachel was a bridesmaid!) A year and a half after reconnecting at the wedding and texting on and off, Rachel and her sister-in-law joined the boys on a ski trip. Andy and Rachel spent the last day skiing together just the two of them. Two days after leaving the mountain, he reached out wondering if they should keep talking and give dating a shot. Four days later the FaceTimed and decided they would officially date, even though it was long-distance!
Andy proposed while on a hike in Atlanta. They try to hike almost every weekend, especially when traveling. On this hike, they were looking down the river and then Andy turned Rachel around and he was on one knee proposing! Even though Rachel assumed the proposal was coming soon, she had no idea it would be that weekend!
STP Associate Amy captured their wedding day perfectly! They had a beautiful ceremony at the historic St. Francis Xavier Cathedral followed by a night of dinner and dancing at Hotel Northland. I loved that they stopped at St. Norbert campus for portraits. The campus is beautiful this time of year with all the leaves changing colors for the Fall.
Congratulations Rachel and Andy! It was an honor to be a part of your magical day!
Thanks to all the amazing wedding vendors that helped make Rachel & Andrew’s big day wonderful!
