Last Friday, I had the wonderful opportunity to take part in an amazing event. What started as an idea in the fall of last year, turned into something real and magical. My sweet friends; Brooke, Victoria, and I, sat down one afternoon and talked about how we could be doing more to help our brides and grooms during the wedding planning process. The concept became known as Wed and Wonder: An Educational Event for Brides-to-Be.
We wanted to create an experience unlike a traditional bridal show. Our goal was to give wedding vendors a platform to share about their expertise and answer any questions engaged couples might have during the wedding planning process. We enlisted the help of some of the area’s most experienced vendors to share what they know. Held at Titletown Brewing Company, guests arrived and were greeted with an adorable swag bag filled with goodies and a mimosa. They mixed and mingled then sat down for vendor presentations and an open Q&A. Afterwards, everyone got a chance to chat with vendors individually about their own uniques needs.
When you come up with the new idea, you have no way of knowing how it will be received. You know you’re passionate about it, but you want to the world to be passionate about it too. We truly feel like our first Wed & Wonder really captured our vision of providing educational content to brides and we had so much fun empowering wedding vendors. I’m personally blown away by how much knowledge each vendor shared. They were absolutely incredible!
Thank you to everyone who came and huge thanks to the vendors who shared! We had an amazing night!
