Maria and Jeff met while performing in the dinner theater group, Daddy D Productions. Jeff played drums while Maria sang. They performed for Knights on the Fox, their first show together and afterwards, they gave each other an awkward, missed high-five. Even at the beginning, they both had a big crush on each other, but the only thing they had the courage to do was high-five and tell each other “good job.” Thankfully, they got over their shyness and started dating. Within two weeks, they were joking about getting married and spending their lives together. But deep down they knew they each had found “the one.”

Jeff proposed by his parents’ cottage! Maria shares the beautiful story, “I had a day off of school, so he told me to come up for a day so we could spend some time together and explore Door County. When I arrived we walked through the woods by his parents’ cottage. There is a beautiful little French chapel in these woods that we visit often when we hike. He told me to walk into the chapel, because he was going to use that shot for a possible music video he was going to make. When I got inside, I closed the doors and there were rose petals on the floor. I opened the door and he was kneeling there! After he proposed he snapped a bunch of pictures of me, without me thinking anything of it. Little did I know, he was going to use one of those photos as the cover to his new album!”

We celebrated their adorable romance with an Engagement Session at the always beautiful Green Bay Botanical Garden. The flowers were in full bloom as Maria and Jeff walked, danced, and kissed their way through the paths and trails of the garden. They are so fun and bubbly separately but when they come together, you can just feel the positive energy they radiate! I cannot wait for their June wedding next year!
