Confirmation & Delegation
In your final meetings with vendors, go over timelines and duties for the day. If you have a planner, they will help coordinate all of this for you. If you don’t, it’s up to you to make sure your vendors know what is happening when. Once timelines have been established, delegate the rest of your tasks to friends or family members so you won’t have to worry about it the day of. Tasks can include: delivering the rings to the best man, picking up food, helping the bridal party get ready, moving items from the ceremony to reception, decorating the reception space, packing up gifts at the end of the night, etc. Have go-to people in place who can make decisions on your wedding day so you can just enjoy!
Pampering & Prepping
Glam squad assemble! You want to look your BEST on your wedding day. You should be done with your last dress fittings and hair and make-up trials. Now it’s time to get that mani/pedi, go in for a spray tan, get your teeth-whitened, and shave your legs (I cannot tell you how many times brides forget and shave AFTER they get their dress on!) These are all totally optional but do whatever you want so you can feel absolutely gorgeous on your special day.
Pack Bags
If you are staying overnight in a hotel on your wedding night, get your overnight bag ready. Toothbrush, change of clothes, moisturizer, etc. Delegate someone to drop off your bags and check into your room for you. If you are going on your honeymoon right after, make sure those bags are packed and ready to go as well. The last thing you’ll want to do on your wedding night is spend time packing. Plan ahead and have everything all set to go!
Final Details
Write your vows if you are doing your own. Have fun at the wedding rehearsal and dinner. Go to bed early and get plenty of rest (easier said, then done with all the excitement!) Know that you can’t change anything at this point so just go with the flow. Remember, mistakes are bound to happen. Whether someone forgets their dress or it starts to rain as soon as the ceremony begins, laugh it off. Don’t control anything too tightly. Have fun and ENJOY your day!
