Megan and Tom are married! I’ve known the beautiful bride Megan since high school so when she asked me to be a part of her big day, there was no way I could say no. Her sweetness and love for others just makes you want to be a better person. She has always been so giving so I wanted her to be with someone who would love her the way she selflessly loves everyone else. Then I saw her with Tom and it’s clear, he loves her that way – selflessly and with his whole heart. When I see her with Tom, I watch as pure happiness washes over her entire being. I’m so thrilled these two make each other that happy. Everyone should have a chance to find a love like Megan and Tom’s.
On a crisp November day, Megan and Tom were married at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary surrounded by their dearest friends and family. The entire day was perfect! The girls spent the morning getting ready in the basement of the Sanctuary so you could hear birds and geese right outside the windows! The ceremony was just a few floors away and the entire ceremony space was packed. Guests hugged the walls and crowded the aisle for a chance to see Megan and Tom say “I do.” During the unity part of the ceremony, the couple watered a little evergreen tree. When they return home, they will plant that tree, watch it grow, and be reminded with each passing day of their love that continues to grow too.
After the ceremony, the wedding party and guests made their way over to The Woods Golf Course for a night of food, fun, and celebrating! As you entered the reception space, the softness from candle light and lanterns greeted you. Light greys and yellows could be found throughout the space and big paper flowers (that Megan made herself) and baby’s breath helped bring beauty to each table. As soon as dinner was announced and the speeches started, you could hear sniffling throughout the entire room. To start off this emotional dinner Megan and Tom’s fathers both gave lovely, heart-felt speeches then we were all surprised with a sweet song performed right there at one of the tables! Our tears subsided for awhile but they started again when Megan and her father had their special dance together. Thankfully, Extreme Entertainment got the party going right after those first songs so we could all dance the night away!
Congratulations Megan & Tom! I wish you all the love & happiness in the world. You two deserve that & so much more!
I just love this intimate shot with Megan’s mother helping her get ready. There is something so beautiful about the way she is placing her hands on her to fix her necklace. You just feel the love behind that soft caress.
Megan’s first look with her father is one of the sweetest first looks I’ve ever seen. They could not hold back their tears once they saw each other. None of us could either!
Ohhhh! So precious! Wrapped up in daddy’s arms!
Married!! Woohoo!!
Ducks and geese surrounded us wherever we walked!
I love these girls! They all exude so much kindness and joy, not to mention they were so hilarious all day!
The Newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs. Helgeson!
Megan’s laugh is infectious! I love to see my brides so happy on their big day!
How stunning is that cathedral veil?!
One of my favorite shots from the day!
Megan is so beautiful!!
Megan and Tom were surprised with a special song during their reception! It was written about them and their love!
Time to par-taaayy!
The father/daughter dance was almost as emotional as the first look!
Megan’s mom and dad danced with their mother and father too. When they got married years ago, they didn’t have a parent dance and they wanted to honor them now. How sweet is that?!
Thanks to all the amazing Wedding Vendors that made Megan & Tom’s big day wonderful!
