I’m obsessed with this Queen Anne Seattle Engagement Session! Katie and Tom started dating their freshman year at the University of Washington but they actually knew of each other beforehand because they went to the same middle and high school! When they first started dating, they would walk together for hours. Katie remembers her feet actually hurting from wearing flat sandals but the conversations were just too good to stop. From there, their relationship has always felt so easy-going. They love talking, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family.
Their proposal story is too cute! Tom explains it perfectly, “It was a Thursday and I had been in possession of the ring for less than 24 hours. It was burning a hole in my pocket and I am unable to hide anything from Katie. As we went on our post lunch walk as we often do, I persisted that we continue on past Kerry Park to Parsons Gardens. I sat her down on a bench and had to stall as there was a family walking around. As they moved on from the park, I proposed on that bench. It was just us. Katie was in disbelief, I mean, who expects a Thursday?! Then the excitement set in and the tears started about 30 minutes later when we got home.”
Because Parsons Gardens and the Queen Anne neighborhood is so special to Katie and Tom, we thought it would be the perfect place for their engagement session! We explored all the little side streets and had fun exploring this gorgeous area. I’m always blown away by how beautiful this neighborhood is.
Congratulations Katie and Tom! I cannot wait for your wedding next year!
