Katie and Reese met while attending the University of Alabama. They fell for each other and it soon became clear that they were the perfect balance for one another. Reese is more outgoing where Katie is more reserved. He keeps her adventurous and she keeps him grounded. There wasn’t ever one moment where they knew they had found “the one.” It was a million little moments that made them realize they didn’t want to spend the rest of their lives with anyone else. Now they live in Atlanta with their two adorable dogs and they love to check out new restaurants, hang out at the dog park, and watch Alabama football!

Reese proposed while they were visiting Katie’s family in Wisconsin over the holiday season. Katie remembers the day perfectly, “On Christmas Eve, we went for a drink at La Vie Boheme. It was empty besides us and the owner. We each ordered a glass of wine at the bar. Reese was being incredibly awkward and that’s when I saw it! The outline of a small box in his pant pocket! I couldn’t stand the weirdness anymore so I said ‘Will you just do it already?’ He got down on one knee, said a lot of really sweet things, and I said ‘Yes!’ My family always has a party on Christmas Eve so we met everyone right after to celebrate at my godparents’ home. As an added surprise, Reese had his parents fly up to celebrate with us!”

Katie and Reese returned to Wisconsin on July 1st of this year for their wedding day! Held in the backyard of Katie’s godparents’ home, their day felt exceptionally elegant, classic, and totally them. They even had their two dogs in the wedding party. Honestly, I could have photographed Katie, Reese, and their bridal party all day long! Not only were they so much fun to hang out with but everyone was so gorgeous that I felt like we were doing an editorial shoot for a bridal magazine. Seriously, can I join your friend/family group? I’m coming to the next family Christmas Eve party!!

Congratulations Katie & Reese! I know your life together will be full of many adventures, joy, and love! Enjoy it!
