So excited to share Nicole and Ryan’s Gather on Broadway and Hotel Northland wedding today! These two met at a St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2013. They started dating and their relationship began to blossom. They love exploring Chicago, trying new recipes, and cooking together. Ryan proposed at their home before a weekend trip back to Green Bay to see Nicole’s family. Since then, they had been planning a wedding back in Green Bay before the pandemic hit.
With everything going on in the world, they knew they wouldn’t be able to have the big wedding they originally planned. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t get married and have the most gorgeous wedding. They kept their original wedding date and invited 18 of their closest friends and family members to attend. Both the ceremony and reception were held at Gather on Broadway and were live-streamed so the rest of their friends and family could watch safely from their homes.
It may not have been what they originally planned but their day was absolutely beautiful, full of meaningful moments. They had time together during the first look at Hotel Northland and while we were taking photos where it was just the two of them. This allowed them to take in each important moment, to realize how special this day was as they started Day One of their marriage. Big weddings are great but there is so much beauty and joy in intimate weddings too. So thankful I could document this special day for Nicole and Ryan. I’m even more thankful that they could still get married!
Congratulations to this happy couple! Wishing you a lifetime of love and joy!
