Wednesday night, we arrived home after a week long stay in Los Angeles. Even though it’s now Friday, my mind is still racing and completely giddy from our time in the City of Angels. Next week, I’ll be digging in a little deeper and sharing more details about our time on the West Coast. But for today’s Fresh Brewed Friday, I’m giving you a behind the scenes peek at all of our adventures. From all the amazing places we visited, the incredible experiences we had, and (most importantly) the delicious food we enjoyed; we had the best time in sunny California!
We had the coolest Airbnb! It even came complete with a hot tub!
Our first stop was OUE Skyspace, California’s tallest open-air Observation Deck with a glass slide! Y’all know I’m afraid of heights but I’m a sucker for beautiful views. We faced our fears and even went down the glass slide!
We walked around to visit The Broad Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and Grand Park.
In-N-Out Burger and Starbucks Reserve are our new favorite things!
This is actually the Bat Cave from the 1960’s Batman TV show! We didn’t see Adam West though.
We started from the bottom and hiked all the way to the top of the Hollywood sign! This was one of my favorite parts of our entire trip. My past couple, Laura and Mark, led us on the hike and we had the best time catching up with them.
California Donuts made me fall in love with donuts.
We toured the Warner Brothers Studio lot. It was so amazing and overwhelmingly cool that I couldn’t help but sob from pure joy after our tour. If you love television and movies, you MUST do a studio tour when you visit!
Yeah, that’s a REAL Oscar I’m holding! Afterwards, I couldn’t stop shaking from excitement.
We even had time for a little coffee at Central Perk. I didn’t see Rachel or Monica or the rest of the gang though.
We hiked up to Griffith Observatory! I wish we could have stayed until night time to watch the stars come out.
Day Trip to Santa Monica where we walked on the beach, ate oysters, and Matt saw the ocean for the first time!
I remember feeling so sad that I couldn’t get a “good” photo of us on the beach because the wind kept blowing my hair and the lighting was so harsh it cast shadows. But I don’t care now. I’m happy we have this memory documented, even if it’s not a “perfect” shot. Sometimes capturing a memory is more important than having a perfect photo.
We ate delicious fish tacos at James’ Beach (featured in the movie “I Love You, Man) and enjoyed drinks and the night life at the rooftop bar at Ace Hotel.
Snuck in a little Branding Session with Twenty Stories,LA’s Mobile Bookstore too!
Oh man, we brunched SO hard while we were visiting!
To end the trip, we headed to Temecula wine country to visit my dear friend, Jenna Joseph. We were even lucky enough to have our photos taken by her, right in the orange groves and olive trees.
I LOVE these sneak peeks she sent us. Perfect way to end the trip!
It was seriously the BEST seeing you guys! It looks like you had a fabulous trip start to finish! ❤️
