I’m always up for doing things that are a little out of my comfort zone. That’s how you grow and get to experience all of life’s greatest joys. One of the biggest things I’m afraid of is heights. Seriously, just thinking about being up high makes my legs go all tingly. But every time I travel, I look for the highest building possible and make a plan to go all the way to the top. That’s where you’ll get the best views of the city. Like the Space Needle in Seattle, the Skydeck in Chicago, Top of the Rock in New York, or the CN Tower in Toronto; you can’t visit those cities and NOT go up there.
So when we spent a week in Los Angeles, I knew I had to pay a visit to OUE Skyspace! Located in the iconic US Bank Tower, OUE Skyspace is California’s tallest open-air observation deck. Nearly 1,000 feet in the air you can see a panoramic, 360-degree view of Los Angeles. They have two observation decks you can look out at plus a bar inside for you to grab a drink and relax as you take in the views. But the best part is that they have a Skyslide, an outdoor forty-five foot long slide made entirely of four inch thick glass. It connects the 70th floor to the 69th floor terrace of the US Bank Tower! Terrifying but so thrilling!
We had the best time exploring OUE Skyspace! I couldn’t stop photographing all the beautiful views. Of course, we HAD to try out the Skyslide! With my heart pounding in my chest, I gripped the mat with both hands and slid down. I faced my fears and it was SO worth it! The experience was incredible. I highly recommend anyone who’s visiting Los Angeles stop by and try the slide. Check out my video at the end of this post to see just how fun it is!
My FAVORITE part of this entire experience: going down the glass slide that’s 1000ft in the air!
