Carmen and Josh swayed as the summer breeze gently blew. The sun had almost completely set by now as they danced among the flowers. Her hand in his, they didn’t need music to dance. They just needed each other. Years of date nights, spontaneous trips, and nights out with friends had finally brought them to this moment. Their wedding day. They held each other closer as they let it sink in that this was Day ONE of their marriage. The beginning of the rest of their lives.
I caught myself crying more than once on their wedding day because it was so full with such pure and genuine love. Whatever they were doing, I caught myself staring in awe at Carmen and Josh. When Carmen walked down the aisle, Josh could barely contain himself and in that quiet church I could hear him say “you’re beautiful” to his blushing bride. During the reception, the happy couple would exchange sweet glances at each other and speak softly to one another. It didn’t matter that they were surrounded by a room full of people, they were fixated on each other. And when two of Carmen’s bridesmaids surprised them with a slideshow full of lovely memories, they watched as happy tears rolled down their faces.
Theirs is a love story that deserves to be told, deserves to be shared. It’s real and raw and so absolutely beautiful. It’s one that gives you hope and shows just how beautiful this world can truly be. I’m beyond honored that I could be the one to document this love and share their story!
Congratulations Carmen and Josh! I wish you a lifetime full of love, happiness, friendship, and fun!

Weddings at the Garden are my favorite! Always beautiful and elegant!
After the Matron of Honor and Best Man speeches, Carmen’s parents thanked everyone for being a part of the wedding. Carmen’s mom recited the speech in English and her dad translated it in Spanish for all of Carmen’s relatives that had come all the way from Mexico!
Thank you to my second shooter, Nicole Jolly, for all her assistance!
Thanks to all the amazing wedding vendors that helped make Carmen & Josh’s big day wonderful!
