I looked at the forecast every single day leading up to Madeline and Ryan’s wedding. Every time I checked it…rain. Not only rain, but thunderstorms. I knew we could make it work no matter what but I wanted this happy couple to have the wedding they always dreamed of. They deserved that! The morning of, I packed my car full of towels, rain boots, and cute umbrellas – prepared for anything that may happen. As soon as I arrived at Madeline’s parents house, the house she grew up in, to photograph her getting ready with all her girls, I checked the forecast one last time. A miracle! No more rain!
The forecast was completely accurate all day and the sun never left us. Not a single drop of rain fell until the dancing began inside at Oneida Country Club. By that point in the night, we welcomed the rain. It added to the magic that was Madeline and Ryan’s first dance. As the orchestra played and the singer poetically sang about two lovers being there for each other, even as the rain started to fall, I couldn’t help but think it was absolutely perfect for that moment. The rain was falling and there was Madeline and Ryan, in each other’s arms, ready to take on the storm.
Thanks to the weather and all of Madeline’s incredible planning, this spring wedding was beyond beautiful. I feel so honored that I could be a part of this wonderful couple’s day. They truly deserve all the happiness in the world!
