Fresh Brewed Friday – My weekly “coffee date” with you all
Happenings: Celebrated my Grandmother’s 78th birthday last Friday! We gathered together at her home for food, fun, and yummy carrot cake!
Tried something different on Saturday and actually SECOND SHOT a wedding! Ahhh! It may sound a little strange coming from a wedding photographer but I’ve actually never second shot for any other Wisconsin photographer before last week. I worked with the fabulous Kim Thiel Photography and it was a blast to shoot alongside of her. She makes everything so much fun!
Photographed Becca and Lukas’s Engagement Session on Sunday at Green Isle Park. These two just exude bubbly energy so our session was nothing but smiles and laughter!
Alexander surprised me this week with a snuggly sneak attack! I had just jumped on my bed to have a little time to relax and check my favorite social media sites when I felt something on my back. It was Alexander and he was curling up on me to sleep. It was so cute that I didn’t move for almost an hour so I wouldn’t disturb him.
Fall Family Sessions have started and first up for the season was the wonderful Elam Family. Little two year old, Devin, stole the show. Her cute smile, fluffy tutu, and pink cowboy boots combined to create one ridiculously adorable toddler!
Started the week with a little Monday morning inspiration. It always helps me clear my mind for the week ahead if I can begin it by rereading one of my favorite photography books, drinking coffee, and jotting down notes and goals for the future.
New Favorite: My awesome new Gilmore Girls inspired coffee thermos from The Trendy Sparrow. Lorelei Gilmore is my soul sister and I just wish we could be best friends! Too bad she’s not real.
Thankful: The last full week of summer! This summer has been an absolute success! From a full schedule of weddings and sessions to actually taking a few days off to enjoy the warm weather, I had a wonderful summer season.
