I have tried to sit down and write this blog post about all the amazing moments from our Gracefully Wed Workshop last week. Every time I begin, I get too emotional and have to stop. My heart is just too full thinking about the kindness and support from all who participated in this dream come true! This workshop has been a goal Elizabeth Nord and I have had for a while. We met in Charleston at the Rising Tide Society’s leaders retreat this past February and I instantly knew there was something special about this girl. We became fast friends and had talked about coming together to create a once-in-a-lifetime workshop experience for wedding photographers in the Midwest. Finally, in June after a heartfelt conversation over a glass of wine, we listened to our hearts and took the leap of faith to launch Gracefully Wed.
After months of planning and thousands of emails sent, we met in Milwaukee this past week at the beautiful Villa Terrace to greet our attendees and start a new journey together. For a full day, we guided our attendees in shooting every aspect of an engagement session and a wedding day. From posing to detail styling, we answered their questions and showed them how we handle photographing both. To say everything turned out amazing would be an understatement! The two styled shoots were absolutely GORGEOUS and we seriously had the best of the best vendors who poured their hearts into these sessions! We cannot thank them enough for all their dedication!
Today, I am beyond excited to share with you all the beautiful styled wedding portion of the Gracefully Wed Workshop! From the stunning wedding couple to the beautiful tablescape and the sweet little details, this is probably one of my favorite styled shoots of all time. I’m also sharing all the fun behind the scenes images that Maria of Maria Harte Photography graciously captured for us! She’s so incredibly sweet and I’m thankful she could join us!
I cannot wait to share Part Two on the blog tomorrow! I’ll be talking about the teaching portion of the workshop held at the awesome Swig Restaurant and share the stunning Engagement Session images. Until then, head on over to Elizabeth Nord’s blog to see her Day One Recap – it’s amazing and her talent completely blows me away!
Thank you to all our wonderful attendees who joined us! YOU are the reason we decided to host this workshop and without your participation and openness to learn and grow your businesses none of this would have been possible. Thank you for being so fun to hang with too. We believe in you all and we know you will continue to do great things!
Huge thank you to Mint & Lovely Studios for all their hard work and beautiful design skills!!
