Cassandra and Mike met back at UW-Eau Claire in 2006. They did not start dating until six years later though when they both returned to Green Bay and Cassandra was finishing up her last year of rotations for school. They absolutely loved spending time with one another right away. Everything just felt effortless and they balance each other out in the best possible way. No matter what they are doing, whether it’s hanging out with friends, trying new foods, exploring a new brewery, or going on adventures – they just love to be together!
They knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together so they bought their first home last year! They closed on their house on a Thursday morning but Mike had more plans for that day, like asking Cassandra to be his wife! Cassandra remembers that day well, “We went back to the house to take pictures before Mike went to ‘work.’ I thought he was snapping pictures with his GoPro but he proposed and recorded the whole thing! Mike couldn’t really even get the words out and I just kept saying ‘shut up, shut up, shut up.’ We both cried.”
When planning their wedding they knew they wanted it to be fun, unique, classic, and totally them. I think they pulled it off perfectly! Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two were married on New Year’s Eve! The entire day felt like one big party and I loved every piece of it! From Cassandra stunning details, like her beautiful two-piece dress and her winter themed bouquet, to the stunning ceremony turned reception space filled with lovely florals – everything looked amazing! Bridesmaids wore long, black dresses to match the groomsmen’s classic black tuxedos. Guests were given party hats and horns customized with their names so they could celebrate all night. Everyone danced their hearts out until it was time to ring in the New Year! This wedding was the perfect combination of class and fun!
Congratulations Cassandra & Mike! I wish you two a lifetime full of love, happiness, and lots of great beer!
I still cannot get over how beautiful this bouquet is!
I just love this wooden ring box with the word “Always” printed on it!
Aww, kitty thought he was a detail too!
Seriously, how stunning is Cassandra?! The most beautiful bride ever!
Reading vows ahead of time to practice, we couldn’t hold back our tears!
First look in the coolest spot ever!!
I love that Cassandra and Mike wanted something different for their bridal portraits. They love more industrial spaces so we spent time shooting at Appleton Beer Factory and it turned out amazing!
Wow! These two together are too cute!
Such a fun bridal party!!
The Marq turned into the most wonderful ceremony space!
During the ceremony, they passed their rings around so all their guests could bless them and wish them luck!
Married!! Woohoo!
Everything about their reception space was beautiful! From the stunning floral arrangements, to the chandeliers, the ice sculptures, and the fun New Year’s Eve decor pieces – each piece worked perfectly together!
Time to par-tay!
Thanks to all the amazing wedding vendors that helped make Cassandra & Mike’s big day wonderful!
