Katie and Christopher’s Ledgecrest Reserve Wedding is here! These two met at a bar in Downtown Green Bay six years ago. Katie was actually on a blind date with someone else at a charity event. Katie loves to share the story, “I didn’t know who Chris was at the time but my date knew him and chatted and introduced me to him. I remember thinking how gorgeous he was (tall, blonde, big blue eyes). I remember telling all of my friends how I met this gorgeous man but would probably never see him again. The next weekend I was out with some girlfriends and Chris walked into the Nines. He knew one of the girls with me and we hit it off and he asked me out!”

Chris proposed at The American Club in Kohler. Katie knew something was “up” when Chris planned a trip to Kohler with a spa day, overnight accommodations and reservations at The Immigrant Room a week before we were going to Cabo, Mexico. She overheard him talking to one of his brothers. Chris told him brother, “I don’t think she’s knows…” She didn’t tell him she knew and wanted to keep it a surprise for him. Chris never likes taking pictures together so when he asked to get their picture together before dinner she knew it was going to happen. Even though she knew it was coming, she thinks she still blacked out when he asked her. It was so special to just be the two of them together.

On Saturday, June 27th, I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful wedding at The Ledgecrest Reserve. It was my first wedding at this gorgeous new venue and it was my first wedding of the summer season. Weddings will definitely be different this year, I wore a mask the entire time I shot this wedding. But love is not cancelled and weddings can still be beautiful! I was so excited to be back and this wedding was the perfect start to the 2020 season!
