On a Fourth of July evening in the summer of 2013, Becca and Lukas were both downtown in Green Bay celebrating Independence Day, unaware that in just a few short hours they would meet and their lives would change forever. Each with their separate group of friends, they were busy hanging out and having fun. But when Becca saw Lukas on the dance floor at a local bar, she went right up to him and started talking. He was a little surprised by how outgoing and talkative she was but he already knew we was falling for her. From that night on, the two have been inseparable.

Over the next year, this happy couple spent as much time together as possible. Lukas works as a general manager and travels a lot for his job, but whenever he was home, he gave Becca (almost) all of his time. Some of their favorite memories together are when they would just listen to music and talk for hours like they had known each other for years. On their one year anniversary Lukas escorted Becca to a fabulous dinner at Hagemeister Park. As soon as they finished dinner they cuddled up on the City Deck and watched the fireworks brighten up the night’s sky. After the firework display they walked, hand-in-hand, down the Fox River Trail and ended at a pier, lightly lit. Becca could hear their favorite song, “Marry Me” by Jason Derulo playing in the background and then her phone beeped. It was a text message with a photo of Lukas’s dog, Boomer, with a sign around his neck that read “Marry Me?” Surprised, Becca looked back at Lukas and he was down on one knee!! Delighted and shocked, Becca said “YES!”

Now these two are planning a bold and bright summer wedding for next year but before then we met up for their fun, fall Engagement Session! We shot at the always beautiful Green Isle Park and their dog, Boomer, even made a surprise appearance! I loved watching this happy couple interact with each other. They are always laughing and giggling together, and it’s almost impossible to not smile when you are around them. As our session was coming to an end, the two switched into baseball jerseys with their wedding date as their jersey numbers! Both of them are athletes and love sports (Becca ran track and field and Lukas played baseball) so it was only fitting we ended our session on a baseball diamond. I’d say the shoot was a “home-run” (see what I did there?) (:

Congratulations Becca & Lukas! I cannot wait for your July wedding, I know it’s going to be amazing just like you two!
