Yesterday, our Green Bay Rising Tide Society group celebrated 2016 with our FIRST meetup in the New Year! We met at the new Pure Barre studio, the perfect setting for us to discuss how to set and achieve goals. As we snacked on delicious grapes, nuts, and chocolates we chatted about what this new year will bring and what we worked on in the past year. I loved how personal everyone was, opening up and sharing their real struggles with balance, juggling work and personal life, and figuring out how to hold themselves to a standard of grace. This is one of the reasons I love the Rising Tide Society because after hearing these struggles, everyone in the group offered helpful words of encouragement and support.
These women were so brave to share their challenges and their hopes for the new year. I am beyond proud of them for opening up their hearts. I watched in awe as these creatives and small business owners who might not have met if it was not for the Rising Tide Society, reach out and start forming real connections with one another. They offered kind words to each other and often said, “you’re not alone, I feel the same way.”
THAT is the reason I lead these meetups. Not for recognition or praise. I do it so these amazing people, who may have felt alone in the past, can make genuine, life-changing connections. So they know they have a purpose and just by sharing their stories, they are helping others. It makes buying all the refreshments and printing off all the guides and worksheets worth it. It makes all the time spent planning the meetups and setting everything up worth it. Helping these creatives means so much to me and I will do whatever I can to make them feel welcomed, supported, and heard.
We were all so thankful to Pure Barre owner, Brooke, who openly welcomed us into her awesome studio! I’m beyond grateful for her wonderful friendship and kindness!
Celebrating our littlest RTS member who made a guest appearance!
