Emma and Nolan first met in 2012 while they were both attending college at MIT. One of their first dates was actually at an IHOP. Emma had never been to one and Nolan had to correct that immediately. That date stands out to Emma because of how sweet, simple, and completely thoughtful it was. Over the many years of dating, they have traveled the world and grown closer together.

After Nolan proposed in Cancun while on vacation with his family and lots of wedding planning that followed, these college sweethearts were married this past October. Their family members and friends live all over the country but they joined Emma and Nolan for a day of celebration in their current home of Seattle.

They chose the gorgeous and historic Edgewater Hotel to serve as the backdrop to their special day. Overlooking the glistening waters of Elliott Bay, this iconic hotel provided the perfect setting. The classic architecture, coupled with panoramic views of the Seattle skyline from the terrace and views of the bay from the ballroom, created an ambiance that was both intimate and breathtaking.

Just down the road from the hotel, we explored Olympic Sculpture Park for their portraits. It was the perfect fall day outside and it felt like we had the trail all to ourselves! Emma and Nolan’s adorable dog, Tootsie, even made a guest appearance! Once photos were completed, we arrived back at Edgewater Hotel in time for the ceremony. Emma and Nolan exchanged the most heartfelt vows and their guests cheered and cried happy tears for them.

One of my favorite parts from the day happened after dinner, toasts, and first dances finished. The lights dimmed, the music started pumping, and every single guest headed for the dance floor. Everyone was busting out their best moves and having the time of their lives. This upbeat energy lasted for hours! It was an incredible sight to see everyone have the most amazing time while celebrating Emma and Nolan.
