Bre and Mike knew each other through work but it wasn’t until they were both in Green Bay that they met face-to-face. They fell instantly for each other even though they lived far apart. But the distance didn’t stop them. They would fly across the country whenever they could to visit each other. Within their first year of dating, they knew they had found their soulmate.
Mike spent hours researching places to propose in Missouri, since he knew he wanted to do it during an upcoming visit. He landed on proposing at the J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain in Kansas City. Bre remembers it well, “He told me we were just going to a casual dinner at a new BBQ restaurant, but ended up proposing afterward at the fountain he picked out. He gave me a coin and said to turn my back to the fountain to flip the coin over my head and make a wish. When I opened my eyes after making the wish, he was down on one knee! Obviously I shed a few happy tears and said, ‘yes!’ After, we quickly FaceTimed our families to tell them the exciting news!”
Even though they have lived all over the country, they were married right here in Green Bay at St. John the Baptist with a reception to follow at Oneida Golf & Country Club, so their families could be close by. Everything about their wedding was totally classic and elegant with hints of fun. It’s no secret that Bre and Mike are two of the sweetest and most hard working people you’d ever meet, so it was no wonder they were surrounded by equally wonderful guests.
Congratulations Breanna & Michael! I hope your life together brings you so much joy and love!
