Danielle & Dejan | Wedding | Oneida Golf & Country Club

Get ready for a big, huge blog post!! Danielle & Dejan’s stunning wedding at Oneida Golf & Country Club was so heartfelt, amazing, and magical; I had such a hard time choosing favorites!! This wedding is seriously one of the books!!

Before they ever said “I Do,” Danielle and Dejan first met in Naples, Florida at the Naples Beach and Golf Club. Dejan, born and raised in the country of Macedonia, was in Florida, hanging out with friends. Danielle, who was on a girls’ trip with her best friends, was enjoying the sunny beaches and night clubs when they all stumbled upon the Naples Beach Club. They were hanging out and listening to the music when Dejan spotted Danielle. For him, it was love at first sight! Following his heart, he went right up to Danielle and started dancing with her. Even though he barely knew any English, he tried talking to her and even tried to get her to kiss him! Danielle, intrigued by this cute foreign man, danced with him throughout the night and the two made plans to have lunch the next day.

What started out as a girls’ trip turned into the beginning of Dejan and Danielle’s lifelong adventure together. The two were inseparable the rest of the time they were in Florida. Danielle told all of her family about Dejan and when her grandmother said Dejan reminded her of Danielle’s grandfather, that’s when Danielle knew Dejan was her one and only. She had been praying for a sign to find someone that reminded her of her dear grandfather and she had finally found the man of her dreams! So even though she finished her vacation and left Florida, the couple knew this was not the end. Throughout the year, they would take turns surprising each other – first Danielle would fly down to spend time with Dejan, the next month Dejan would fly to Wisconsin to spend time with Danielle! They knew that if they could make long distance work, they could handle anything!

On their one year anniversary, the lovely couple went out to a celebratory dinner at Black and Tan Grille in downtown Green Bay. Dejan was acting rather quiet that night, as opposed to his usual easy-going and fun self. Little did Danielle know it was because Dejan had gathered all their friends and family back at their house for a surprise proposal!! They finished dinner and headed home. Dejan brought Danielle into the kitchen where she found all her friends and family waiting for them. Before she could even ask why they were there, Dejan got down on one knee and proposed!! Surprised and incredibly happy, Danielle let out a tearful “YES!”

Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous! Blue/grey dresses and black tuxedos mixed with blush pink accents gave their wedding that elegant feel. The bouquets were beautifully filled with huge peonies that smelled amazing. The three ballrooms at Oneida Country Club opened their side doors to create one big room for all their guests. From there, the guests could enjoy a signature cocktail or converse with one another on the patio overlooking the golf course. They whole day was absolute bliss and the night turned into one big, fantastic party! A huge firework display over the greens ended the night in the most perfect way possible!

Congratulations Danielle and Dejan!! I wish you both so much love and happiness for the rest of your life! Наздравје!

To surprise Dejan, Danielle had Dejan’s mother record a video for him, wishing him all the best. They played it right before the first dance. Suddenly, everyone broke out into tears, including me!!

Dejan sang to Danielle during the song, “All of Me” by John Legend, as they danced their first dance as husband and wife.

My favorite part of the reception was when the DJ played three traditional Macedonian songs. The crowd went wild and Dejan’s wonderful friends and family helped led the rest of the guests in traditional Macedonian dances!!
