My weekly “coffee date” with you all!
Happenings: If you read the title for today’s Fresh Brewed Friday, you might be saying, “What?! Beyonce´and the Packers?” Yes, that’s right! I was lucky enough to attend the Green Bay Packers Family Night on Saturday AND see Beyoncé the following Wednesday. Needless to say, it was a pretty exciting week!
On Friday, I photographed Morgan and Shane’s gorgeous outdoor wedding! I cannot wait to share more of it on the blog next week!
Packers Family Night went down on Saturday. With my friends and family by my side, we cheered on the Packers and watched an amazing firework and laser show. We even got to see Matt working on the sidelines!
On Sunday, Matt and I headed to one of our favorite places, Target! We are sponsoring kids and buying their school supplies. We filled up the cart with folders, notebooks, and SO much more. Of course, we had to find them a cool pencil case too. I looked for a Lisa Frank one, but sadly couldn’t find it haha.
New Favorite: Queen Bey! Mrs. Carter! Beyoncé! I have been a HUGE Beyoncé fan since I was a child (I even have all the Destiny’s Child CDs.) On Wednesday, I finally got to see her live in concert for the On the Run II Tour with Jay-Z at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. What an amazing show! I just want to relive it again and again! I would also like it if Beyoncé would let me be her friend or at the very least, her personal photographer.
Thankful: I’m so thankful that I had awesome parents that always made sure we were provided for. When Matt and I were picking up school supplies, I was reminded of when my mom would take my sister and myself school shopping. We didn’t have much money, but my mom would budget all year to make sure we had what we needed. That’s why it’s so important for us to sponsor kids. No family or chid should have to worry that they don’t have enough. It’s the responsibility of those of us who have more, NEED to give more.
I encourage you to give back in whatever way you’d like. But if you want to sponsor a kid’s school supplies, I highly recommend. It cost us $20 to get the essentials for one child PLUS a few fun things we wanted them to have. You could make such a difference. Don’t just think about it, do something.
