Yesterday morning the Green Bay chapter of the Rising Tide Society met for our September TuesdaysTogther. We gathered at Apricot Lane Boutique and settled in amongst their beautiful clothes and fun home decor pieces. It was my first meetup back after being gone for the last two due to my crazy traveling schedule. It felt so good to be back and surrounded by my favorite creative entrepreneurs. We sipped mimosas and discussed Creative Risk Taking and what that means to each of us. As open and as vulnerable as we could be, we talked about the risks we’ve taken in our lives and in our businesses and how it’s helped us grow. Of course, it’s scary in the moment but looking back we are so glad we took those leaps of faith.
There are only three meetups left in 2017 and it’s crazy to think this year is winding down. This group means the world to me and it was so nice to talk yesterday and discuss what this group really is about. It’s about COMMUNITY. We are raising others up instead of tearing them down. It’s about embracing your fellow business owner instead of comparing and competing. It’s about getting out from behind your computer, being brave, and meeting other creatives that are just like you. It’s bigger than a networking group, it’s a CONNECTING group. We are building friendships and relationships past our businesses. We are pouring into each others’ lives and cheering on our new friends to succeed. It’s not about passing out business cards, building your contact list, or trying to find referrals. It’s SO much deeper than that. It’s creative entrepreneurs coming together to lift each other up. It has always been about Community Over Competition and it’s our goal in the Green Bay chapter to truly, whole-heartedly embrace that.
Thank you to all our brave members who joined us yesterday and shared their heart. I’m SO thankful for you all!
Thanks to Kim of Apricot Lane for volunteering to host us! She’s a pro at making mimosas!
