Spending time with Jessie and Zak is always a pleasure. They are so loving and caring to one another, it’s a joy to be around them.
Zak shared this beautiful story with me on how he knew Jessie was “the one” for him. One weekend they planned a camping trip. The plan was for them to canoe on over to their campsite and have a fabulous weekend. But just when they were about to start canoeing it was nighttime and already too dark to see. As Zak explains, “Under the stars, Jessie got in the canoe with me. She wasn’t angry or freaking out because we couldn’t see. She smiled and paddled along with me, helping direct us to where we needed to go. That’s when I knew I wanted to be on this journey of life with her.”
Jessie and Zak were married on an overcast day in July at the lovely Riverview Gardens in Appleton, Wisconsin. Their love for the outdoors could be seen throughout the wedding. From their thumbprint tree guest book to their cute bird cake toppers, nature could be found everywhere. Beautiful flowers and greens covered the tables and lined the aisle. The bright blues of the bridesmaids’ dresses reminded me of water and all the memories Zak shared with me about canoeing with Jessie. Everyone smiled and laughed the whole day, enjoying the wondrous celebration of love.
Congratulations Jessie & Zak! I know your journey together will be a glorious one.
Jessie and Zak decided to do a Day After Session. I met them at Zak’s home where trees and flowers cover the whole land. It was a beautiful space and I’m glad we had even more time to make wonderful photos of them. By saving a lot of their bride/groom photos for the next day, Jessie and Zak had more time to spend with their guests on their wedding day and enjoy their time after the ceremony.
