Driving all the way from their home in Chicago to vacation in Door County, Wisconsin this Fall, the Muench Family thought it would be a great idea to capture all the fun they were having on camera. I could not agree with them more!! I joined the Muenches one morning at the beautiful Peninsula State Park for their family photo shoot. The leaves looked radiant as their bright orange, yellow, and red colors finally started to peak out. I absolutely loved spending time with four year old twins, Lauren and Ty. These two were so full of personality; whether they were running around pretending to be dinosaurs or skipping together hand-in-hand, their cuteness and love for each other melted my heart.
Photographing families together, in their natural, most loving state is just as exciting to me as photographing weddings. It’s real. It’s raw. The emotions of love and happiness are so apparent and profound that it sometimes makes me tear up a little (happy tears, I promise.) By bringing families together and telling them we are going to explore and play and capture everything, it allows them to just be themselves and not worry about posing or feeling awkward. And when they can be themselves, both parents and children, that’s when those real moments are captured. That’s when you truly get the chance to see a small piece of the life and love they share together.
I love this session so much because they all just let their true personalities shine through and you can see the love, happiness, and playfulness in every photo. Thanks for a great session, Muench Family!!
This is what Lauren and Ty did when I said “get closer.” My intention was for them to get closer to each other and they thought I wanted them closer to me! Awww!
