Before starting Maternity Leave, I was able to sneak in one last portrait session! This couple’s session with Julie and Greg at Seahurst Park was beyond magical. The light, the water, the weather – everything worked together to make this photo shoot so special!

Julie and Greg met in 2020 at the start of the pandemic. Each was afraid of the prospect of meeting a new person but also worried about being exposed to new germs during the lockdown. But they quickly bonded over a shared love of traveling, theme parks, and tiki bars. After many weeks of talking on the phone and on Zoom they nervously decided to meet in person. Their first date was a romantic dinner at Greg’s apartment in Los Angeles — Greg drove over an hour each way to pick up tiki drinks just for the occasion.

A few weeks into dating, Greg shared his aspirations to eventually move to Seattle and asked Julie if she’d ever be willing to move there. To which she immediately replied “yes” and thought that nothing else would ever come of it. A little over a year later Greg received a new job offer and the opportunity to move to Seattle. Julie agreed to move with Greg and they are now enjoying their life together in a new city.
