A few weeks ago, Matt and I headed down to the Oregon Coast for a little babymoon adventure. If you’re unfamiliar with a babymoon, it’s basically your last trip or getaway before baby arrives. Truly, it can be whatever you want it to be. For me, I knew I needed to be by the ocean (my happy place) and just relax. I know once baby arrives our world will revolve around our little one so I wanted a chance to be with my husband, eat lots of food, and enjoy ourselves.
We chose beautiful Cannon Beach as our destination and stayed at Hallmark Resort and Spa. We loved it there! The staff was super sweet and had a bottle of sparkling cider waiting for us in our room. Not only is this resort right on the beach and have gorgeous views of Haystack Rock, but their amenities are lovely. They have bonfire kits complete with s’mores, beverages for purchase, board games you can borrow, and free fresh chocolate chip cookies everyday between 4-6pm. During our stay, we also enjoyed their spa, Elements by the Sea, and it was heavenly. I got a prenatal massage and it felt amazing to lay on my front side after months of not being able to!
During our trip, we loved walking along the beach, visiting the cute local shops, and enjoying all their delicious food. Some of our favorite restaurants there include: Pelican Brewing, Cannon Beach Smokehouse, The Lazy Susan Cafe, and Crepe Neptune. But the best part was indulging in some Tillamook ice cream from Suzy’s Scoops. The people in Cannon Beach were so sweet and welcoming too! Truly, this felt like a town in a coastal Hallmark movie.
We went during the off-season so I’m sure it’s much busier when the weather is nicer. But it was still such a magical and relaxing experience. I cannot wait until we get to go back!
I brought my Contax 645 with me too and we had some fun creating art on the beach!
you, my dear, are radiant! many blessings to you and matt…hugs❤️
