Rising Tide in-person meetups returned this month and I couldn’t be more excited! I used to lead Green Bay’s Rising Tide chapter when it first began over SEVEN years ago. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long yet it feels like no time at all. I led our Green Bay chapter for three years after officially stepping down in 2018. Rising Tide has meant the world to me. I have met the most amazing people through this group and I knew when I moved to Seattle, I wanted to get involved with their chapter.
Last March, I reached out to Seattle’s Rising Tide leader sharing that I was new to town and available to help if needed. She gladly accepted the help and I became a co-leader! While we were still dealing with the pandemic, we opted for virtual meetups with our group so we could still learn and connect. I started meeting some wonderful people in Seattle and getting to know this new city.
A year later, I’ve taken over as official chapter leader and yesterday we held our first in-person meetup back! Amy of Amy Paine Photography graciously hosted us at her gorgeous studio space. We enjoyed some yummy snacks and deep conversations about this month’s topic: burnout in our lives and in our businesses. After every meetup, virtual or in-person, I always learn something new and I’m always thankful for the open discussions.
I’m SO excited for this new year of leading Rising Tide Seattle! We have some exciting topics to discuss and some fun locations to visit. I cannot wait to continue to meet more people, learn more things, and help cultivate a community of amazing creative entrepreneurs. Let’s make some waves!
